Bapetco, or Badr El-Din Petroleum Company, is a joint venture established in 1983 between Shell Egypt N.V. and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). The company focuses on exploring and developing oil and natural gas resources in Egypt�s Western Desert. Bapetco operates several fields, including Bed-1, Bed-2, and Neag, and has become one of Egypt�s largest gas producers.

Bapetco is involved in the exploration and production of oil, natural gas, and condensates. The company has significant recoverable reserves, including approximately 44 million barrels of crude oil and 1.9 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. Its processing facilities support a crude oil production capacity of about 30,000 barrels per day and natural gas capacity of up to 340 million cubic feet per day. Bapetco plays a vital role in supplying the Egyptian domestic market and contributes to the country's energy needs and economic development.
