Dragon Oil is an independent upstream oil and gas company focused on the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas fields, primarily in the Middle East, Caspian region, and North Africa. Originally founded in 1971 in Ireland, the company rebranded in 1993 and moved its headquarters to Dubai after being acquired by the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) in 1999. Dragon Oil is now a wholly owned subsidiary of ENOC.

The company�s main operations are centered around its flagship asset, the Cheleken Contract Area offshore Turkmenistan, which includes significant fields and a long-term Production Sharing Agreement.
