Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is a prominent Indian public sector enterprise established in 1974 through the merger and nationalization of several foreign oil companies. As a Maharatna company, it operates under the Government of India and is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange.

HPCL is an integrated oil refining and marketing company with two major refineries located in Mumbai and Visakhapatnam, with capacities of 6.5 million and 8.3 million metric tonnes per annum, respectively. The company also holds a stake in the Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited and has a partnership in a refinery in Bathinda, Punjab. HPCL is known for owning India�s largest lube refinery, producing a significant portion of the country�s lube base oils.

The company offers a diverse range of petroleum products, including petrol, diesel, LPG, aviation turbine fuel, and lube oils. HPCL markets these products through an extensive network of fuel stations across India and engages in exports. Its customer base includes retail consumers, commercial users, and sectors such as aviation and power.
