Imperial Oil is Canada�s second-largest integrated oil company, established in 1880 in London, Ontario. It is majority-owned by ExxonMobil, which holds a 69.6% stake. The company operates across the full oil value chain, including exploration, production, refining, and distribution of petroleum products throughout Canada.

Imperial Oil manages oil sands mining projects and conventional oil and gas production, with significant refining facilities like the Strathcona refinery in Alberta. Its product offerings include gasoline, diesel, lubricants, and petrochemicals, marketed under well-known brands such as Esso and Mobil. The company serves a wide range of customers, including retail consumers, commercial and industrial clients, and wholesale customers.

With a strong history in Canadian energy development, Imperial Oil has been involved in key milestones, such as the discovery of oil in Leduc, Alberta, in 1947. The company has expanded through acquisitions and continues to modernize its operations to meet energy demands across Canada.
