The Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) is the national oil refining company of Kuwait, established in 1960. Initially a shareholding company, it became fully government-owned in 1975 and operates as a subsidiary of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. KNPC was the first national company in the region to manage hydrocarbon resources independently, marking a significant milestone in Kuwait's oil industry.

KNPC owns and operates two major refineries: the Mina Abdullah Refinery and the Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery, with a combined crude oil refining capacity of approximately 736,000 barrels per day. The company also manages the distribution of petroleum products within Kuwait, operating 61 petrol filling stations and five ports for exporting products. Its services include oil refining, gas liquefaction, and a Clean Fuels Project aimed at producing cleaner fuels. Additionally, KNPC owns the Kuwait Aviation Fuel Supply Company and holds a stake in the Kuwait Aromatics Company, contributing to its role in the local and international petroleum markets.
