Technology has always been at the heart of the Oil & Gas industry. Companies around the world have established R&D capabilities to acquire and develop new solutions to address their portfolio specific challenges. Employing leading edge technologies to address business challenges is not new to Kuwait. Thus, in 2010 Kuwait International Petroleum Research Center (KIPRC) was established with the aim of providing applied research and technology solutions, to the Kuwait Oil Sector for both Upstream and Downstream operations. With this R&D center at the helm, we will be fast adapters of the latest technologies, including some that will be developed in-house. KIPRC will be a strategic arm for the Operating companies in value creation by developing and executing technologies that are innovative and state of the art, while at the same time building collaborations with leading international oil companies, services providers, and academic institutions to reach its goals.
