PT Badak LNG is Indonesia's largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer, based in Bontang, East Kalimantan. Established in 1974, the company began production in 1977 and operates a large-scale LNG liquefaction plant. This facility transforms natural gas from Indonesia's reserves into LNG for export, primarily to Asian markets such as Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. Badak LNG has a production capacity of approximately 22.5 million tons per annum (MTPA) for LNG and about 1.2 million tons per year for LPG.

As a non-profit subsidiary of PT Pertamina, Badak LNG manages a multi-train liquefaction facility with extensive infrastructure, including LNG processing trains, storage tanks, and marine loading jetties. The company focuses on operational excellence, safety, and environmental stewardship, earning international recognition for its sustainability efforts. Badak LNG plays a vital role in the global energy supply chain and significantly contributes to Indonesia's economy through its LNG and LPG exports.
