Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MSPGCL), also known as Mahagenco, is a state government-owned power generation company based in Maharashtra, India. Established in June 2005, it is the largest power producer controlled by a state government in India, with an installed generation capacity of approximately 13,880 MW. MSPGCL operates a diverse portfolio that includes thermal, hydroelectric, gas-based, and solar power plants, supplying electricity primarily to over 15 million consumers in Maharashtra.

The company focuses on generating cost-effective and eco-friendly power, holding ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 certifications for environmental and occupational health and safety management. MSPGCL is committed to expanding its capacity through ongoing projects, including supercritical coal units and renewable energy initiatives, ensuring reliable and affordable electricity for residential, commercial, and industrial consumers across the region.
