North Oil Company (NOC) is a state-owned Iraqi oil company based in Kirkuk, operating under the Ministry of Oil. It is responsible for oil and gas operations in northern Iraq, with its activities extending from the northern borders to just south of Baghdad. NOC plays a vital role in Iraq�s oil sector, significantly contributing to the country's crude oil production.
The company focuses on the exploration, production, and development of oil and gas fields, managing key assets like the Kirkuk oil field and the Kirkuk�Ceyhan Oil Pipeline. NOC has resumed production from 35 wells in the Kirkuk region, producing around 330,000 barrels per day. It is also involved in rehabilitating gas plants and expanding production capacity through various field development projects, often in collaboration with international partners such as BP and the North Gas Company. NOC serves both domestic refineries and international markets, with exports primarily directed to Jordan.
