Orpic, or Oman Refineries and Petrochemicals Company, is a leading player in the Middle East oil industry, wholly owned by the Government of Oman. Established in 2011 through the merger of Oman Refinery Company and Sohar Refinery Company, Orpic consolidates Oman�s downstream oil refining and petrochemical assets. The company operates major refineries in Muscat and Sohar, along with polypropylene production facilities in Sohar.

Orpic produces a wide range of products, including various refined fuels, chemicals like aromatics, and plastics, particularly polypropylene. The company serves both domestic consumers in Oman and international markets, positioning itself as a key supplier of refined petroleum products and petrochemicals. Orpic is committed to sustainable growth and operational excellence, with significant capital investment projects aimed at enhancing its capabilities and services. In 2019, Orpic merged with Oman Oil Company to form OQ, further expanding its energy assets globally.
