SEFE Securing Energy for Europe GmbH is an international energy company based in Berlin, Germany. Owned by the German Federal Government since its nationalization in December 2022, SEFE plays a vital role in ensuring energy supply security and supporting the decarbonization efforts of its customers across Europe. The company operates along the entire energy value chain, including origination, trading, sales, transport, and storage of energy commodities, particularly natural gas and power.

SEFE delivers around 200 terawatt hours (TWh) of natural gas annually to approximately 50,000 clients, which include small businesses, municipalities, and large multinational organizations. Its operations span Germany, the United Kingdom, and seven other European markets. The company manages significant gas pipeline infrastructure and about 25% of Germany�s total gas storage capacity, highlighting its importance in European energy security. SEFE is also focused on clean energy technologies and developing the hydrogen ecosystem to facilitate the energy transition.
