Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) Ltd. is a full-conversion oil refinery located in Yanbu Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. This joint venture between Saudi Aramco and China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec) processes approximately 400,000 barrels per day of Arabian heavy crude oil. YASREF produces a variety of premium transportation fuels and high-value refined products, including ultra-low sulfur diesel, gasoline, butane, propane, benzene, pelletized sulfur, and petroleum coke.

The refinery employs advanced technologies to ensure the production of clean, high-quality fuels and has the potential to expand its product offerings. YASREF is a significant project in the region, enhancing the partnership between Saudi Aramco and Sinopec. The company has received international recognition for its construction and operational excellence and began operations in January 2016 with a total investment of around USD 8.6 billion. YASREF also prioritizes local employment, with around 1,100 Saudi nationals making up 86% of its workforce.
